So this is the 17th century Cider press at Buckland Abbey,during the Medieval period when the abbey was an abbey the cider press would have been more like these in this photo…

 now onto the rest of the property….

 The main house and formal garden..

this next one has the Abbots tower..

and the next one is the cider house…

and this is the kitchen garden.

The Abbey was converted in to the the house in the tudor times by the Grenvilles after Henry the 8th dissolved the monasteries and was then sold to Sir Francis Drake.The house stayed in the family for a while,it’s now run by the National trust .Hope you enjoyed my adventure.

Today I thought I would share with you our coastline here in the southwest we have all type of beaches so starting with the closest ones to us on the south coast we have…..

These are just some example of our coastline and beaches running from our closest in south Devon running to the Dorset coast next week we will show the south Cornwall coast and start on the north coast!
