For many of you Christmas day and the holidays is over until New Years Eve but here in the UK its Boxing Day. Boxing Day was created to box up left overs by the wealthy as care packages for the poor and those servants working for the wealthy so that they would get a nice meal that they wouldn’t normally have. Today Boxing day is just another day for friends and families to come together and Celebrate the Christmas Season. But in a way this sort of thing still happen with charitable organizations such as the Salvation army and shelters for the homeless and soup kitchens and other numerous organizations. So while we celebrate another day of good food and fine wine with our loved ones we should also bare a thought for those in need, the elderly who have lost their loved ones and are all alone and many others who are in need in one way or another. May be you know a neighbor who is all alone.. may be just check on them today to make sure they are ok, even bring them a little treat or some left overs from your Christmas Dinner…Just let them know that some one cares. In mummy’s case she will be making a special phone call

It’s Finally Here, Its Christmas Day! Today we will all be gathering together with our loved ones human and furry alike While for some its a spiritual and religious affair, for others it is a family affair to come together with good food and good cheer, and for some it is a mix of both. However you all Celebrate make it a special one full of love, fun and of course good food!
And to make my day Special, I had a very Special visitor before He had to go back to the North Pole!

One has to wonder hour fast time flies! only this time last year I was still a baby celebrating my 1st Christmas and now this is my 2nd Christmas and tomorrow is Christmas Eve…. it certainly flies fast! And now we are almost at the end of my Unofficial Countdown, it seems a little sad that my countdown is nearly finished. Yesterday we went on a mission to Cotehele House to see their annual flower Garland, Unfortunately I was only allowed on the estate lands so I sent mummy in one her mission to take some photos while I had fun running around out in the parkland. So here is what she got…
Didn’t Mummy do a Great job? Anyway I had a great time running around and then we went down to the Mill as well but you’ll get to see that tomorrow!

We have a quandary about Christmas cards….As you know last year Mummy and me had a card count going and mum said that she and Speedy used to do the same thing. But this year I wasn’t sure I wanted to do that as with all the postage strikes going one trying to send and receive mail is and impossible task and when we add in the the cost well we cut back a lot. We only mailed a few in this Country to mainly family and close friend and used a website across the pond to send out a couple of card to immediate family which was expensive at £4.24 English pounds each! So we made the conscious decision to just send out Ecards this year to the rest of our friends and families apart from the ones we can hand out locally in person.
Then we wasn’t sure how to blog this year either until I said to mummy how about we do and unofficial countdown and share the links to the Christmas cards each day like a special fun Advent Calendar for you all to enjoy! So that is what we have been doing each day and for the most part everybody has been enjoying it all though those that no longer want to receive the cards by email have been telling us and we have been slowly taking them off our address book and respecting their wishes and those that don’t open their cards will also be slowly taken off too as we take that as a sign that for what ever reason they are no long want to receive our cards….and that’s okay life happens and circumstances change.
As for our own Card count well that has changed too…This year we are displaying all our cards together as one little family of cards….after all that’s what we are…. a little family! So here are all the Christmas cards we have received so far….
It’s a nice family of cards so far, So thank you to all of you who have sent them and thank you to you all who have sent thank you notes to the cards we sent by email.

Today is a pondering day as today is the 18th of December it marks the start of the final week of my unofficial countdown where billions of us around the world will be celebrating Christmas with our families. But today also marks the 1st day of Hanukkah the 8 day holiday for our Jewish friends and Families. Which ever holiday you celebrate this week is a big week for us all. Its a week where we spend more time together showing how much we care about each other. And to that even my own dad stepped up to get some Christmas photos for me and my Mummy while she was at work these are from the small local garden center that is a couple of minutes up the road from us
There’s not much left of their Christmas stuff but it is pretty in an minimalistic way, good job by my dad is all I can say. Where ever you are enjoy your holiday this week.
